Steps to Design Your Perfect Tag Book
- Grab your 12 x 12-inch paper and slice it into two. Mark every 3 inches, and fold it like an accordion. Then, overlap the two slices on one of the 3 x 6-inch sections. Re-fold the paper, using a bone folder for that crisp edge. Voila! You now have spaces for 7 amazing tags. ️
- Now, let’s give those rectangles some flair! Trim the tops to transform them into tag shapes. Trim one corner first to set the standard, then replicate that magic for all the others. Symmetry is key!
- Time to make it hang-ready! Punch a hole, about an inch from the top center of each tag. Use the first punched hole as a guide to ensure consistency.
- Want some pizzazz? Grab an ink pad and color those hole reinforcements. Stick them around the punched holes. Loop some ribbon or twist ties through the holes, securing with a knot or twist.
- For added texture, cut seven patterned paper pieces (hint: try the Alcohol Inking Technique I’ll share soon!), ink the sides, and attach them to the base of each tag section.
- Select four background pieces, add some embossed or chalked edges in your favorite hues, and fix them to the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th tag sections.
- Images speak volumes! Crop and print three photos. Add a vintage touch with distress ink around the edges and place them on the 2nd, 4th, and 6th tag sections.
- Final touch: Spruce up your tag book with an array of stickers and embellishments. Let your personality shine through! ✨
