Welcome, Knitting Enthusiasts!

Hey there! Rachel here, your go-to gal for all things knitting! Whether you’re a newbie or just brushing up on your skills, I’m super stoked to guide you through knitting a cozy sweater perfect for those chilly winter nights!

Introducing: The Ultimate Cozy Sweater Pattern

Imagine cuddling up in a beautifully knitted sweater made with the softness of mohair and alpaca! While the sweater shown in the image sports a knitted belt and is a tad longer, I promise, the pattern I’m sharing will make you look and feel just as fabulous!

Let’s Get Started: Knit Your Own Sweater!

Though I’m detailing a pattern for the ladies, don’t fret! I’ve attached a video at the end for those wanting a more general pattern.

Quick Deets:

  • Sizes: From small to a fabulous XXXL.
  • Tension: With Boye Single Point Aluminum 10.5/6.5mm, 14-Inch needles, you’ll get 14sts x 17 rows in stocking stitch making a 10cm square.

Materials You’ll Need:

  • Yarn: Cocoon mix – 70% acrylic, 25% mohair, and 5% alpaca (50g/70m)
  • Small: 11 balls
  • Medium: 12 balls
  • Large: 13 balls
  • XL: 15 balls
  • XXL: 16 balls
  • XXXL: 17 balls

Your main stitching will be with 6.5 mm needles, while the ribbing will use 5.5 mm ones.

The Crafting Journey:

Back: Using 5.5mm needles, cast on the required sts. Begin with the rib, switch to 6.5mm needles and proceed as instructed for the armholes, shoulders, and neck.

Front: Similar to the back but with differences in shaping at the armholes, neck, and shoulders.

Sleeves: Starting with 5.5mm for the rib, switch to 6.5mm for the main section. Remember to increase sts as mentioned!

Collar: Using 5.5mm needles, create a snug collar with 2/2 rib. Stitch it up, and voila!

Once you’ve attached all the pieces, take a moment to bask in your knitting glory!
