Want to whip up a toasty cowl for the chilly season? Here’s a quick pattern for you:
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn
- Large oval or circular loom (with 70 pegs)
- About 320 Yards of wool (mix and match colors or stick to one, totally up to you!)
Knitting your cowl:
- Cast on (E-wrap) all pegs, then E-wrap again and pull the bottom loops over the top loops (twisted knit stitch).
- For rows 3 – 30, repeat the above step.
- Pull the fabric up through the inside of the loom. Line up the first loop from round 1 with the stitch above.
- Proceed to E-wrap and pull bottom loops over top loops. Add a color if you wish or continue with the same.
- Repeat these steps thrice.
- Finish off with your primary color, E-wrap, and pull loops accordingly.
- Bind off, leave a generous tail.
- Finally, turn your cowl inside out. You can fold the first 30 rows for added warmth or leave it be for a looser scarf look.
